What is TEC?

Sponsored by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, TEC is a three-day retreat weekend of prayer, reflections/talks, discussions and activities based on the Paschal Mystery. TEC is a special experience with topics and an approach designed for older adolescents and young adults who have completed their second semester of their sophomore year of High School. It begins at 9:30AM on Saturday and ends about 6:30PM on Monday. Candidates are required to attend all three days.

The next TEC retreat, TEC #129, is July 23-25, 2016.  Applications can be printed from this website. Current retreat dates are available on the calendar page of this site or on the applications.

TEC weekends are filled with talks, group discussions, personal reflection, recreation and live music. Sharing, getting to know those around you and participation in activities are important aspects of the weekend.

New Orleans TEC weekends are held at the Rosaryville Spirit Life Center which is located in the pine forests just outside of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Retreatants are housed in dorm rooms with full access to washrooms and hot showers.
