Known as the “man of the 8 beatitudes,” Pier Giorgio Frassati was a man who loved life and just lived it to the fullest.

Here are some awesome quotes from him:
“I urge you with all the strength of my soul to approach the Eucharist Table as often as possible. Feed on this Bread of the Angels from which you will draw the strength to fight inner struggles.”
“Modern society is drowning in the sorrows of human passions and it is distancing itself from every ideal of love and peace. Catholics, we and you, must bring the breath of goodness that can only spring from faith in Christ.”
“Suffering that is nourished by the flame of faith becomes something beautiful, because it tempers the soul to deal with suffering.”
“Foolish is he who follows the pleasures of this world, because these are always fleeting and bring much pain. The only true pleasure is that which comes to us through faith.”
Frassati wrote the phrase "verso l'alto" on the back of a photo (see below) which was taken by a fellow mountain climber on June 7, 1925. This became a motto associated with him, it means "to the heights."
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, pray for us!
St. Maria Goretti was one of the youngest virgin-martyrs to be canonized a Saint.
While lying in a hospital bed at death’s door, Maria chose to forgive her attacker. She said, "Yes, for the love of Jesus I forgive him... and I want him to be with me in Paradise."
May we look to St. Maria’s courageous sacrifice and heroic purity when faced with our own temptations. And may we ask for St. Maria’s intercession to help us choose to never compromise our faith and our morals.

The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is July 16th.
In 1251, the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Simon Stock and gave him the brown scapular. The scapular is a sacramental: a sign of devotion and obedience to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The promise of the scapular made by Our Lady was that, if the wearer of the scapular lives out their commitment to follow Jesus, “whosoever dies clothed in this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.”

St. Mary Magdalene was a very good friend of her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was also a friend of the Blessed Mother and the 12 Apostles. She walked closely with Jesus and understood His Love and Mercy.
Check out these images, some beautiful facts, and a link to the chaplet of St. Mary Magdalene.
The chaplet can be used as an examination of conscience prior to the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Ask for her intercession and see if Christ is calling you to the sacrament, just like He called Mary Magdalene to repent and follow Him more deeply.
